The New York Voice Will Be Endorsing Candidates in Local, State, and National Races
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The New York Voice exists to provide information of value to our readers.  Political issues and “politicians” are a part of our lives – whether we like politics or not – because most of the issues driving political discourse impact on our lives.

In these challenging times, The New York Voice is committed to providing a public service.  It is critical that New Yorkers know where political candidates stand on issues such as public safety, immigration, border security, healthcare and Medicare, education, school safety, parental rights, and foreign affairs, to name a few.

Recently the Editorial Board of another newspaper, The New York Times, announced that their paper will no longer be issuing endorsements in local, state, and national races except for the presidential race.  They gave no reason.

We are different.  The New York Voice’s mission in our election coverage is to provide information regarding candidates so our readers may make an informed decision in the voting booth for this November’s General Election, then in the June 2025 New York City primaries, and other political contests throughout our great Empire State.  Like you, we want to see people elected to public office who will be good public servants.

Accordingly, in the upcoming local, state, and national races, the New York Voice will be interviewing candidates, listening to our readers’ thoughts about the candidates, providing “report cards” on the candidates’ policy positions, and making endorsements.  We are a non-partisan publication and invite all candidates to participate in our endorsement process.

– New York Voice Editorial Board
